Calgon...take me away!

Family/Friends,

I understand now why some companies/celebreties hire people to tend to their Social Media networking, it is very time consuming, not to mention mentally exhausting. Point in case, just today I spent over an hour on Blogger and YouTube working out some kinks with my profile/settings. My head's spinning and I'm pooped.

On the topic of Social Media, I'd like to take a moment to thank my daughter, Pamela for acting as a consultant on the topic. Pamela works in the field and has actually helped launch my first AdWords campaign. Although it is progressing slowly, I have seen an increase in site (www.mywritingden.net) traffic and Twitter - 10 new followers in a week. I've also been receiving sporadic emails from 'fans' telling me how much they enjoy my stories...so this keeps me going. Ohhh, and a VERY notable mention to Linus Ly who gave me the idea to use a 'new' slogan Erotica, She Wrote. Liked it so much I'm already using it. Thanks Linus!

Alright, folks. I need to get back to business of writing stories, have fallen behind already.

Thank you for posting comments, they are truly appreciated!

Until next time!
Maria

  3. I can only imagine how busy a writer's schedule must be. As I can see, it's something that you love and enjoy, but hopefully you won't get too overwhelmed. If you do, do take a moment and soak in the tub. Happy Writing! ;)

  4. I'm trying not to let it overwhelm me, but it's hard as I am deliberately putting a lot of pressure on myself. It's now or never :-)

    Thanks for the comment!

Path of Least Resistance

Hello family/friends, Over the last few weeks I've come in contact with several old acquaintances and met some new ones and the more I chatted with folks the more I realized that many people out there are living this path of least resistance lifestyle. Listen, every situation we encounter in life comes with choices. Some choices are small and may not present much impact to others. In this instance the road one chooses is not usually looked upon with much scrutiny. However, when one chooses an alternate route a route less conventional one that causes tension amongst society people generally choose the route that causes the least amount of upheaval. Deep down inside no one really wants to go against the norm, and be scrutinized by their peers, their friends, and their families. Going along with society is usually the least complicated and most comfortable thing to do because it offers the path of least resistance.   The choice to head down the path less traveled is ...
